A predictable routine helps children to build confidence and feel safe and secure in their environment.  We provide consistency within our program, yet we have the flexibility to adapt and make the most of spontaneous learning experiences as they occur.  We also have planned events and visitors, which enables children to manage change.

Generally, our daily routine is as follows:

  • Children arrive, re-connect with educators and their friends and unpack their belongings
  • Outdoor play: a time to be active and explore
  •  Morning tea
  • Children transition inside
  • Indoor play: a time to engage in educational and role-playing activities
  • Group time
  • Lunch
  • Quiet and rest time
  • Children prepare for the end of the day by gathering their belongings, putting on their shoes and engaging in quiet activities
  • Children transition outside
  • Afternoon tea
  •  Time to go home
